The paint used was also fairly chintzy. Granted I am missing paint on my driver and passenger door jams (at the bottom) there is zero rust on my car what so ever. There's a square hole in the back of the tensioner. Stick a 3/8 ratchet/breaker bar into it to relieve the tension, and pull the belt off one of the pulleys. I can't remember but you may have to remove the tensioner to get the belt off of it, or possibly you can slip the belt past it sideways. I took it to the shop that does all my work (I've had 3 successful Timing-Belt jobs done by them on my other cars) so I bought all OEM Hyundai parts (timing belt, tensioner, idler pulley and tensioner pulley ...THOR #20709. Tiburon OCCC limit issues... Please help. I am supposed to pick up my new 2021 Thor Tiburon 24FB tomorrow and I just saw a blog about the OCCC limits. In reading another thread it looks like the Tiburon might only have a OCCC of roughly 700lbs. My tiburon body has 300k+ miles on it currently the original motor had 212k on it when the last owner botched the timing belt job on it. I replaced the motor with one with 100k miles and now the engine has nearly 200k miles on it and I beat on it pretty hard revving it past the 6800 rpm revving it to 7300 .Hi, this is my 1st post. I own a 2003 Tiburon Tuscani GT model with 6 speed but I can never get into 6th gear anymore. I bought the car in March 2006. Back then I was able to get into 6th gear, now I can't it only goes to 5th.
