We have a new neighborhood being built right next door, and they also have AT&T fiber. It seems like when AT&T originally laid the fiber for the neighborhood, they covered some streets. (i.e Checkout the street: Tacketts Pond Dr, Raleigh, NC 27614, which is fully covered to the very end).My neighborhood was built in the 1970s with underground power, ATT phone lines, and Comcast cable lines... everything is underground. Every neighborhood nearby in any direction from mine has above ground utilities and got ATT fiber ~4 years ago. I have never heard any news about our neighborhood eventually getting fiber.
